Privacy Policy
Last updated 2 October 2026
This policy explains how CloudScaleForge (ABN 35 536 254 170) (“CloudScale Forge”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal information. We are based in Queensland, Australia, and handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
We only collect the personal information we need. That may include:
- When you contact us — your name, email address, business name, role, and anything else you include in your message.
- When you become a client — business contact details, billing details, and the correspondence needed to quote, deliver and support the work.
- When you visit this website — standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, which our hosting provider records in server logs.
This website has no contact forms, does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and does not run analytics that profile visitors.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange a conversation or quote.
- To deliver, support and invoice the work we do for you.
- To keep this website secure and working properly.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell personal information. We will only send you marketing emails if you have asked for them, and you can opt out at any time.
Who we share it with
We only share personal information where it is needed to run the business, including with:
- service providers that host this website, provide our email, and run our accounting software;
- professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers;
- government agencies or others where the law requires it.
The fonts on this website are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address.
Storage outside Australia
Some of our service providers, including our website host, store or process data outside Australia — for example, in the United States. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Data in the systems we build for you
When we build or support systems that hold your business’s data — such as reporting, internal apps or integrations running in your own cloud account — that data is handled under the quote or agreement for that work. If you have a question about data your employer or another organisation holds, please contact them first.
Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, such as using encrypted connections and limiting who can access it. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires (for example, tax records). After that, we securely delete or de-identify it.
Access and correction
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing hello@cloudscaleforge.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Complaints
If you are concerned about how we have handled your personal information, please email us first and we will try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top.
